CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Eduarda "Mary" Ortiz of Croton-on-Hudson died Monday, April 1. She was 88.
Ortiz was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, on Oct. 13, 1924, to Rafael Ortiz and Agripina Alvarado.
Ortiz is survived by her daughter, Edna(Ceasar) Cabrera; three grandchildren; sisters, Margie and Sica.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3 at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. Burial will follow at Linden Hill Cemetery in Ridgewood, N.Y.
