CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. --Sen. Terrence Murphy (R-Yorktown) recently secured a $2,500 grant for the Croton Free Library toward the purchase of a 3-D printer.
"The concept of being able to print something in 3-D is revolutionary," Murphy said. "Three-dimensional printing will undoubtedly enhance student's ability to learn. I am pleased to be able to provide the funding to make a future technological advance happen now."
During Murphy's visit, Library Director Yvonne Cech presented him with a plaque made by the 3-D printer. The plaque appropriately read, "Made possible by a grant from Senator Terrence Murphy 40th Senate District."
