Lawrence Taylor, a Hall of Fame linebacker and two-time Super Bowl champion who played 13 seasons for the New York Giants will be signing autographs at Gaetano's Italian Grille at 2025 Albany Post Road from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
In conjunction with the event, Gaetano's is offering a buffet for attendees that starts at 6 p.m.
"We're very excited," said Anthony Settembre, who runs Gaetano's. "To bring someone like that into this area, it's going to be great."
Settembre said he is a big New York Giants fan and said Taylor is an all time favorite player.
"I've never met him," Settembre said. "I'll probably just say it's nice to finally meet you. People will always have the memory of meeting Lawrence Taylor."
Settembre said he has a big menu to satisfy any of Taylor's cravings.
"We are a wood-fired Italian restaurant," Settembre said. "Our oven is imported from Italy. We are a nice family business that offers gourmet pizza, fresh vegetables an homemade mozzarella. Our wood oven is just phenomenal."
Gaetano's has been in business since 2010 and Settembre, who lives in Montrose, said he enjoys having a restaurant in such a family-oriented community.
If you missed this event, no worries: On Feb. 21, Settembre will be hosting a signing featuring Dan Girardi of the New York Rangers.
