The screenings will be held at the Brookfield Senior Center at 100 Pocono Road. Screenings begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 31, and Saturday, April 1. Screenings on Sunday, April 2, begin at 3 p.m. Doors open a half hour prior to the screenings.

The Brookfield Arts Commission’s film festival committee has selected a unique program of shorts after viewing dozens of films featured in several competitive festivals.

This year, the Brookfield Arts Commission is presenting films by two women who began their careers in Brookfield. Rachel Blumberg will speak about her experiences with filmmaking and the genre of short films during the festival intermission. Olivia Hampson’s short film, "Phases of Mahina," is also featured.

Admission is $15 (suggested donation) and includes a complimentary glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds raised during the film festival will be used to fund scholarships that will be awarded to Brookfield residents graduating high school and intending to further their education in the arts.
