CROTON, N.Y. -- Residents are invited to turn in unused or expired medication during Croton's Drug Take Back day taking place Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Croton Commons.
Drug Take Back days are instrumental in keeping prescription drugs out of the hands of drug abusers.
According to the 2011 Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), twice as many Americans regularly abuse prescription drugs than the number of those who regularly use cocaine, hallucinogens, heroin, and inhalants combined.
Croton Commons is located at 75 S Riverside Avenue.
