The camp will run for a July session from July 5-July 28 and an August session from July 31-Aug. 25. Available for kids ages 14 and 15, the CIT camp offers young adults a comprehensive work-place introduction under the supervision of the CIT Director and the Camp Director, Richard Grundy.

In the CIT program, participants learn to work both independently and cooperatively, in a professional and supportive environment. This camp is an ideal summer option for teens looking to prepare for future professional endeavors or job opportunities. CITs will participate in daily practical counselor training and join fully staffed groups for additional support. In addition to their workplace training, CITs also enjoy some recreational fun in our incredible facility, including rock climbing, water sports, fitness training sessions, trampoline dodgeball and more.

Through weekly group assignments, guided break-out sessions that help develop effective decision-making, and daily fitness sessions with CP-AC trainers, CITs will leave the program with new-found confidence, work ethic and professionalism.

“We’re extremely excited to add the CIT program to our Summer Camp options” Grundy said.. “We hope that through this camp, CITs will be better prepared for future jobs and professional positions and maybe even return to Chelsea Piers as a counselor the following summer.”
