CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- Congers residents are upset over the removal of a tree to make way for a parking lot at the new Clarkstown Learning Center, reported News 12.
The building, which was previously Congers Elementary School, closed in 2013 due to safety concerns. Residents are upset that 60-year-old trees are being cut down just for a few more parking spaces.
