CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. – Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoehmann and Police Chief Michael Sullivan argued about the need for an independent study of the police department recently, according to lohud.com.
Sullivan had 'reservations' about the choice of the Bonadio Group, saying that the consultancy lacked 'the experience' to handle the scope of the study, lohud.com said.
Hoehmann said that he was elected on the strength of 'a mandate to ensure we’d look at everything,' including the police department, characterizing Sullivan's comments as 'defensive,' reported lohud.com.
The chief did say that he would give his full cooperation to the study, lohud.com noted.
