CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. — Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino's Reform Party spent $96,000 on George Hoehmann's campaign for Clarkstown supervisor, lohud.com reports.
The funds came from a $107,900 donation through a company called "Institute for the Municipal Safety Research, LLC,” according to the article, and paid for television, print advertising and other costs for Hoehmann's Republican campaign to unseat Democrat Supervisor Alexander Gromack.
Municipal Safety Research isn’t registered with New York Department of State, as required. Election law mandates donations must be made under a donor's real name.
