CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- Commuters should be prepared to make alternate driving plans when a long-term bridge construction project gets underway on Wednesday, Dec. 8 on Route 9W in Clarkstown.
The project, which is expected to last three months, will extend on Route 9W from Tuxedo Lane to Dr. Davies Road, said officials with the New York State Department of Transportation.
Construction will cause traffic to be diverted to one lane until March 2017.
Drivers are asked to follow traffic and detour signs.
