Chappaqua's Hillary Clinton Celebrates 70 By Ditching Crutches

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Hillary Clinton, a Chappaqua resident, entered her eighth decade sans crutches.

According to The Daily Mail, Hillary Clinton ditched her crutches when she accepted the "Wonder Woman" award from the Women's Media Center at a ceremony Thursday, her 70th birthday. Clinton, who was the Democratic nominee for president last year, broke her toe in London a few weeks ago had been forced to walk on crutches following the injury.

At the ceremony, Jane Fonda sang her "Happy Birthday."

On Twitter, Bill Clinton wrote, "70 has never looked so beautiful. Happy birthday, @hillaryclinton," while daughter Chelsea wrote, "Happy Birthday Mom! So thankful for every birthday & every year we’ve shared. Looking forward to many more!"
