The incident took place around 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, on Gardiners Avenue, outside of Abbey Lane Elementary School, which serves as a polling place, Nassau County Police said.
Police were not sure of the circumstances surrounding the accident, or if the person was voting.
The accident is under investigation.
Details, such as the man's condition, were not immediately available.
