A wanted man who was arrested last month after being caught on a Ring video attempting to break into vehicles in Westchester is back in police custody after being caught again on camera doing the same thing.

Eastview Avenue resident John Bertolini, 27, was arrested in September and charged with petit larceny and possession of burglary tools, the department announced on Monday, Sept. 9. He was caught attempting to break into vehicles on Shonnard Place in Yonkers.

On Monday, Oct. 7, the Yonkers Police Department announced that Bertolini is back in police custody after he was arrested and charged with multiple felony counts of grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property for a string of car break-ins in the city's 4th Precinct.

According to police, investigators in Yonkers put together a case based on surveillance videos and fraudulent credit card charges that were tracked back to Bertolini. No arraignment or return court date has been announced.

“Keep posting those Ring videos!,” the department posted on social media. “Great job by (members of the 4th Precinct Anti-Crime Unit and Citywide Pattern Crimes Task Force, working with our Field Intelligence Officers) for making the arrest! Remember to follow the #9PMRoutine and lock your car doors at night!”
