What's Happening This Weekend in Chappaqua

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - Chappaqua has several events going on this weekend for residents of all ages. There will be a basketball tournament, a cocktail party, the farmers market and more. Take a look below for the list of events:

-The Sports Boosters Holiday Basketball Tournament, which began on Thursday, will continue through the weekend. The Horace Greeley boys team will host Yorktown on Friday at 7 p.m. Win or lose, both boys and girls teams will play on Saturday, either in a consolation or a championship game. The venue and times are to be determined based on the outcomes of the first-round games. Instead of an admission fee, spectators are being asked to bring unwrapped toys to gain admission.

-On Friday at 7 p.m., the Chappaqua Library is hosting "Menus in the Movies." The event will be led by food author and film buff, Carol Durst. Homemade desserts and a discussion will follow a viewing of the featured film, "My Father's Garden." The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Chappaqua Library and is free and open to the public 

-Desires by Mikolay will be hosting a Charity Shopping Cocktail Party on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The King Street store will be donating a portion of its sales during the event to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Briarcliff.

-Stone Barns will return for its second appearance at the Chappaqua Farmers Market this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The market will be inside at the Church of St. Mary on South Greeley Avenue. 

-Temple Beth El is hosting food and blood drives on Sunday. The blood drive begins at 8 a.m. and donors must be between 16 and 75 years of age. 16-year-old donors require parental permission. All donors must wait at least eight weeks between donations, must weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health. Residents can also contribute to the food drive by dropping off food between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the temple lobby
