Westchester Woman Admits To Fatal Stabbing Of Daughter's Father

A Westchester woman has admitted to fatally stabbing a man during a domestic dispute earlier this year.

Yonkers resident Chanelle Franklin, 34, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the stabbing death of Khalif Kennedy in February. Franklin and Kennedy reportedly had a child together.

On Feb. 2, Franklin stabbed Kennedy in her Caryl Avenue apartment, police said. Officers responded to a 911 call at the residence and found Kennedy with a life-threatening stab wound to his neck.

Kennedy was transported to an area hospital, where he ultimately died from the stab wound.

Franklin is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 24 next year, when she will face prison time.
