MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- A single-passenger truck veered off Route 117 and collided with a Mt. Kisco telephone pole late Thursday morning. The driver told police that he drove onto the sidewalk after the truck's brakes went out and he was unable to stop.
According to an officer on the scene, the driver was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for injuries. The truck, which belonged to a private landscaping company, was towed away. The telephone pole reportedly suffered no structural damage.
