New Castle Public Meetings and Events for the Week

NEW CASTLE, N.Y. - Every week, many New Castle organizations and committees hold community events or convene for public meetings. Here is the New Castle community calendar for the week:

The new-look New Castle Town Board will meet as a group for the first time in 2012 on Tuesday. The board will meet Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. in the Assembly Room at Town Hall, followed by a work session at 8:15 p.m. Click here for the agenda.

Town Supervisor Susan Carpenter, Board Members Elise Kessler Motel and Jason Chapin, Town Justices Douglas Kraus and David Zuckerman and County Legislator Mike Kaplowitz (D-Somers), will be sworn in at Town Hall on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Millwood Task Force will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday at 8 p.m. at Millwood Firehouse #2 on Route 134.

The Chappaqua Library will be holding a book discussion on "The Imperfectionistsby Tom Rachman on Thursday at 7 p.m. Ask for a copy of the book at the library's information desk. The event is free and open to the public.

Chappaqua Central School District members will be holding a forum with parents and community members on its principal searches for both Roaring Brook Elementary and Horace Greeley High School. The Roaring Brook discussion will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the school's cafeteria. The Horace Greeley discussion will be held on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the school's commons.
