NEW CASTLE, N.Y. - Every week, many New Castle organizations and committees hold community events or convene for public meetings. Here is the New Castle community calendar for the week (schedule is subject to change):
-On Monday at 7:30 p.m., the Chappaqua Library is holding a breast cancer support group. No admission charge.
-The Chappaqua Central School District will be meeting with parents and community members on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in room FAW2 at Roaring Brook Elementary School to ask for input on the school's principal search.
-On Tuesday at 4 p.m., the Chappaqua Library is hosting a "Be Your Own Superhero/Heroine" event. Kindergarten to third grade students are welcome. Parents are encouraged to bring white shirts to make a costume. No admission charge. Advance registration required.
-The Planning Board is meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Assembly Room at Town Hall. Click here for the agenda.
-The New Castle Town Board is meeting for a work session on Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. in Conference Rooms A&B at Town Hall. Click here for the agenda.
-On Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m., the Chappaqua Library is inviting middle school-aged children to play board and video games in the library theatre for "Got Game?" No admission charge.
-The Architectural Review Board is meeting on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Conference Room A at Town Hall.
-On Thursday at 7 p.m., the New Castle Historical Society is hosting a family history workshop in the Chappaqua Library. No admission charge. Advance registration required.
