Crash That Hospitalized 3 Leads to DWI Arrest

VALHALLA, N.Y. – The Mount Pleasant Police Department reported Wednesday that they arrested 22-year-old Kyle Maltz of Chappaqua on charges of misdemeanor DWI.  

Police responded to a one-car accident around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 10 after Maltz had overturned his vehicle in Pleasantville. Maltz along with two other passengers in the car were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, police said.

Order of Protection Violation: Mount Pleasant police officers arrested a 17-year-old Pleasantville male on misdemeanor charges of violating an order of protection on the afternoon of Saturday, March 10. Chief Louis Alagno said the minor received a court order to avoid a victim of his from a previous crime and that the juvenile recently came in contact with the victim.

Smashed Window: A male resident of Hawthorne reported to Mount Pleasant Police on the morning of March 11 that a window on his Chevy Suburban had been smashed during the overnight hours while it was parked on Commerce Street in Hawthorne.  The estimated damage is approximately $1,000. No arrest has been made.

Cash Missing: A female resident reported to Mount Pleasant Police on March 9 that $1,000 in cash was missing from her home on Chateau Lane in Hawthorne. An investigation is ongoing and no arrest has been made.
