Sushi by Boū, which will be located in New Rochelle at 40 Westchester Pl. inside The Atelier, is set to open on Friday, May 2 and will be the latest expansion for the fast-growing hospitality group simplevenue, which has launched 23 venues across the country since 2017 under brands like Sushi by Boū, Sushi Suite, Omakaseed, and Fins and Scales.

Inspired by Japanese sushi counters and elevated with modern flair, Sushi by Boū will offer a timed omakase tasting experience with either a 12-course menu for $65 or a 17-course option for $100. Featured delicacies include hamachi, botan ebi, o-toro, unagi, hotate, ikura, and their signature "Wagyuni" surf and turf.

The New Rochelle space—its largest sushi counter to date—can seat up to 18 guests at the white stone counter, with room for 35 additional guests in the bar and lounge. The restaurant will also offer craft cocktails, imported sake, Japanese spirits, and an a la carte menu with hand rolls and seasonal mochi ice cream.

In keeping with the brand’s tradition of giving each location a unique identity, the New Rochelle outpost draws its design inspiration from '60s pop art, '70s disco, and '80s graffiti, and will feature a rotating gallery of contemporary artwork. The first exhibit will showcase work by Arlene Harriet Gottfried, the late NYC street photographer and sister of comedian Gilbert Gottfried.

The opening is part of a broader expansion led by simplevenue founders Michael Sinensky and Erika London, along with hospitality veteran Richie Romero.

Sushi by Boū New Rochelle will be open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. to midnight, with the last seating at 11:15 p.m. Reservations can be made at sushibybou.com or via OpenTable.
