The Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event to pay for lighting Rhinebeck village trees at holiday time.
An array of drinks from an open bar and appetizers are highlights and there will be entertainment by local DJ, Dave Leonard.
The public is invited to this fundraiser where guests include business and community leaders, and residents.
An estimated 25,000 lights will be lit along Market, Mill and Montgomery Streets. The event raises funds for materials and manpower for village trees and the annual Holiday Tree Lighting, which is set for Nov. 19.
"There is a misconception the Village of Rhinebeck pays for the lights, when actually it’s the donations of our local businesses and residents, and the coordination from the Chamber, that fund the holiday decorations," said Jesse Hewitt, President of Rhinebeck Area Chamber of Commerce.
