Informal Writing Workshop: 7:30 p.m. Bring short prose, poetry, ideas or simply a desire to write to an evening of supportive feedback with fellow writers. This workshop is led by Joan Schulman. Stitch and Chat: 1 p.m. Join other needlework enthusiasts to exchange patterns, ideas and techniques. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Sounds of Summer Concert: 7 p.m. Chappaqua continues its Sounds of Summer concert series with a performance from Chris Fox & Mojo Monde. Residents are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to the 200 S. Greeley Ave. recreation field to enjoy the music.

Mah Jongg Club: 7 p.m. The club is for players at all levels. Instruction, as well as coffee, tea and cookies, will be provided. The library will provide cards but those attending are asked to bring boards, if possible. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

Thursday Night Book Discussion Group: 7 p.m. Susan Zangler will lead a discussion of  "Lying Awake" by Mark Salzman. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.
