Columbus Day closures: The Chappaqua Library, schools and town offices will be closed for the holiday.

Tuesday Oct. 9

College for Kids with Disabilities: 7:30 p.m. Learn about the issues facing students with disabilities as they choose, apply to and attend college. Julie Gaughran and Rachel Asher, of Asher, Gaughran LLP, are attorneys whose practice focuses on special education law. Carolyn Cohen is a college placement counselor with experience in advising special needs students. Chappaqua Library, 195 S. Greeley Ave.

BOCES Vote: Time TBA. Chappaqua's Board of Education votes on a request for capital projects at Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES. Chappaqua would be responsible for $1.2 million of the projects. Education Center, 70 Roaring Brook Road.
