NORTH CASTLE, Conn. -- The League of Women Voters of New Castle is having voter registration drives in Westchester in order to enroll new voters before the November election.
Along with more than 400 other organizations, the league also is participating in National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday. The deadline to register to vote in New York for this November’s election is Oct. 11.
League volunteers will also be registering voters at the following locations on Tuesday:
- Chappaqua Starbucks from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Millwood A&P from 1:30-6 p.m.
In addition, New Yorkers can register to vote and update their voter registration information online through the Department of Motor Vehicles' website.
Applications for absentee ballots also will be available at the registration drives. Applications for an absentee ballot must be mailed by Oct. 29 and absentee ballots must be mailed by Nov. 4.
