Veterans, children and others who want to salute fallen soldiers will be marching Monday in the New Castle Memorial Day Parade.
The parade starting ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Victory Corners Monument at the corner of King Street and Bedford Road. The parade, which steps off at 11 a.m. from Ridgewood Terrace, will then take a right onto King Street, a left onto South Greeley Avenue and then end at Memorial Circle in front of the Chappaqua Train Station.
World War II, Korean War and Iraq-Afghanistan Veterans will be attending the parade. The Honor Guard, town, school and library boards, and fire officials will also be there.
Also in observance of the holiday, the Chappaqua Library, New Castle Town Hall and Chappaqua Central School District will all be closed Monday.
