Operated by Foodchester, Inc., a volunteer-based not-for-profit organized by Pleasantville residents in 2012, the market's goals include supporting regional agriculture, promoting healthy eating, fostering community togetherness, and encouraging patronage of neighboring shops and eateries, per its website.
