Concordia Volleyball splits Two Matches

LAKEWOOD, N.J. -- Hillary Hoffman had 27 assists and 17 digs as Concordia rallied to a 16-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-13, 15-8 win over host Georgian Court in a women’s college volleyball match.

Concordia lost to C.W. Post in four games -- 18-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-16.

Defensively, Concordia was outstanding in the victory. Along with Hoffman’s 17 digs, Irina Impellittiere, a Haldane graduate, led the team with 19 digs, Alexis Balyeat collected 13 and Amanda Margedant finished with 11. Overall, Concordia registered 72 for the match. Juliann Gillespie rang up 14 kills and Chelsea Zurcher had seven.

In the C.W. Post match, Hoffman had 26 assists and 23 digs. Gillespie finished with 13 kills and 11 digs, Courtney Hanson finished with 13 digs and Impellittiere notched 11 digs and seven kills.
