LYNDHURST, N.J. The Concordia womens soccer team dropped its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game of the season, losing 5-1 to host opponent Felician Wednesday.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at Concordia, but was moved to the New Jersey site due to weather-related field conditions at the Bronxville campus.
Felician got on the scoreboard 10 minutes in with a goal by Stephanie Jimenez, who scored three goals in the victory. Alysia Arcona took a corner kick that was received off the shoulder by Jimenez for the first goal of the game.
Clippers Iyesha Ollivierre scored her third goal of the season after she eluded two defenders and took a shot to the far post at the 15 minute mark. Clippers goalkeeper Jessica Nanan recorded four saves in the loss while Allie Couzo made three saves for Felicians second win of the season.
Concordia was outshot 21-11 in the game and the Golden Eagles held a 13-2 edge in corner kicks.
Concordia (2-2, 0-1 CACC) will play its last away game to begin the season Saturday, traveling to Philadelphia University for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
