BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Despite an unusually cold winter, students at The Chapel School in Bronxville are participating in a daily “Spring Training” challenge.
The school-wide “Spring Training” calisthenics challenge started on Feb. 25.
School officials hope the effort will be a fun way to get everyone moving at least twice daily.
The first five-minute calisthenics challenge of each school day is being held at 8:15 a.m., with the second occurring at 10:55 a.m.
Last week students and faculty members alike participated in a jumping jacks challenge.
“All the snow and below freezing temperatures have limited the time for our students to be active and outdoors,” Principal James Dhyne said in a press release.
“We created this challenge as a way to encourage everyone to get moving and be active.”
