The home at 28 Valley Road is a 5-bedroom home on .81 acres, and is being offered for $6.9 million. The home at 81 Tanglewylde Ave. is a five bedroom on .88 acres and lists for $4.75 million.

Homes at 3 Beechwood, 24 Park Avenue and 20 Argyle Place are also listed with Houlihan Lawrence. Many homeowners who had been considering putting their homes up for sale are getting a jump on the spring market.

“The spring market can start anytime in late January or early February,’’ said Cynthia Landis, the brokerage office manager for Houlihan Lawrence offices in Bronxville and Yonkers. “With the relatively mild winter, we’re getting a start even earlier than usual.”

The recent listings are among the most unique homes in town.

The Valley Road property is inspired by French Vernacular architecture. The home, called La Capucine, was crafted from the stones of an 18th century Bourgogne convent in 2013. It sits on Sunset Hill, an historic ground of the Mohican Indians. It is nestled just above the heart of Bronxville Village.

Master artisans used centuries-old materials imported from France in the home. The Manor features reclaimed limestone floor, antique fireplaces, salvaged timbered ceilings, French-crafted oak doors and windows, custom cabinetry and French paneling, hand-forged hardware, LED lighting and a geo-thermal heating and cooling system.

The home has 4.2 bathrooms and 6,110 square feet. Views of the Manhattan skyline can be seen from every level. Click here for the listing, which is being marketed by Rita Steinkamp and Sheila Morrissey Stoltz.

Both agents are also marketing the Tanglewylde home, which was built in 1901. Legendary Bronxville developer William Lawrence commissioned architect William Bates to design a wedding gift for his daughter, and named it Tanglewyle Manor. It is still considered one of Bronxville’s premier homes.

The home has 4,500 square feet, 6.1 bathrooms, a library, cooks kitchen, family room, pool, powder room and mudroom. The garage has room for six cars, creating a car collector’s dream. There is also a mechanic’s work station and hydraulic lift. Click here for the property listing.

“We’re excited to showcase these two premier properties,’’ Landis said. “I think it shows that there is still a strong market for higher-priced homes. People want luxurious and turn-key living. Both of these homes certainly fit that description.”
