WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Two teenagers were caught red-handed in Bronxville with drugs, weapons and a stolen Lexus key.

A police officer was on patrol shortly before 2 a.m. on Thursday morning when he spotted two suspicious men enter the village on Gramatan Avenue.

While canvassing the area for criminal activity, the officer reported that he spotted the two of them inside an unlocked Cadillac that was parked in a driveway in front of a Normandy Terrace home, leading to their arrest for trespassing.

During a subsequent investigation, it was determined that one of the suspects, a 17-year-old from the Bronx, was in possession of a Lexus car key. The arresting officer proceeded to use the panic button feature on the key to locate the vehicle it was stolen from, which was on Gramatan Avenue in Mount Vernon.

Police notified the owner of the Lexus to the situation, and the 17-year-old was additionally charged with criminal possession of stolen property.

The teenager’s cohort, an 18-year-old from the Bronx, was found to be in possession of a spring-loaded switchblade and plastic bag with marijuana. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Both teens were arraigned by Judge George Mayer and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. They are due back in Bronxville Village Court later this year to answer the charges.
