What's Happening This Weekend Around Bronxville

Saturday, March 17:

The Bronxville Public Library's Elia Kazan Film Festival will feature "A Face in the Crowd" at 2 p.m. in the Yeager Community Room of the library. For more information, contact Bob Scott at or at 917-647-1169.

Sunday, March 18:

The Ladies of Tin Pan Alley will perform at the Eastchester Library at 2 p.m.

The three candidates up for election March 20 will be at Bronxville Village Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a "meet and greet," during which the public may discuss issues and concerns relating to the village and village government. The candidates for trustee on the Bronxville Board of Trustees are incumbent Republican Anne Poorman and first-time candidate Guy Longobardo Jr., also a Republican, and the candidate for justice of the Bronxville Justice Court is incumbent Republican George Mayer.

Bronxville resident Dorothy Huff Oberhaus, one of the country's foremost authorities on Emily Dickinson and the author of "Emily Dickinson's Fascicles: Method & Meaning," will give a presentation titled "The Many Moods of Emily Dickinson" at 3 p.m. at The Bronxville Women's Club in its clubhouse, 135 Midland Ave., Bronxville. Afternoon tea with live music provided by Joyce Balint on violin and Ayuko Mueller on piano will follow. The suggested donation is $15 for adults and $5 for school-age children.
