Bronxville Police: Hospital Doctor Hit by Patient

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – An emergency room physician at Lawrence Hospital reported to Bronxville Police that he was struck in the face by a patient, Gene Condina, 53, of Yonkers. The complaint stated Condina was abusive to staff and caused a disturbance with an expletive-filled rant. Condina was arrested and charged with second degree harrassment. He was taken into custody and later released after posting $100 bail. He is due back in court on Feb. 1

Police received a report at 6:14 am Saturday that an apparent homeless man was in a multi-family dwelling.

Police arrived at 133 Pondfield Road and arrested Fernando Rodrigues, 47, charging him with criminal trespass in the second degree. Rodigues was also carrying a child's backpack that was not his, police said. Rodrigues was transported to the Westchester County Jail after he was unable to make $500 bail that was set by Village Court. He is due back in court on Jan. 18.
