The annual sidewalk sale is set to be one of the biggest in village history, with nearly 50 local businesses and organizations poised to sell their wares. The Park Place Street Fair will feature vendors of its own, children’s activities and live entertainment.
The Bronxville Sidewalk Sale is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, where businesses will offer discounts as high as 70 percent off regular prices. The street fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday on Park Place, which will be closed to vehicular traffic for the day.
Both events will be held regardless of weather conditions, though rain could limit entertainment and food sales. Free parking will be provided in the Garden Avenue, Kraft Avenue and Avalon lots. There will also be parking offered along Pondfield Road, Studio Arcade, Parkway Road and Palmer Avenue. Meters will be in effect outside of those locations.
Special this year will be Fabio’s Hair Studio tent, which will offer children’s hairstyles and makeup for $5. There will also be a game of chance that will offer players the chance to win a free haircut. The tent will be in front of the hair studio on Friday and at the street fair Saturday.
The Bronxville Chamber of Commerce will have a table on Park Place on Saturday with a complete directory of specials, free face painting, eco-friendly bags and coupons. Several Bronxville merchants are featuring sales in the spirit of the sidewalk sale.
