Taconic Parkway Daytime Double-Lane Closures Scheduled

A new round of double-lane closures are scheduled on the Taconic State Parkway during the day this week.

The closures will be southbound in Yorktown between Exit 16 (FDR State Park) and Exit 13 (Underhill Avenue)

The closures will be in Yorktown between Exit 16 (FDR State Park) and Exit 13 (Underhill Avenue) on Tuesday, July 23 and Wednesday July 24, between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., while crews perform maintenance activities, weather permitting, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

Motorists should follow the posted detour and anticipate possible delays.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
