The New Castle Police Department issued an alert cautioning that Con Ed has hired Asplundh to trim and remove dangerous limbs and trees on Croton Lake Road as part of their storm-hardening efforts, beginning on Monday, July 22.

Beginning on Monday, Croton Lake Road will be closed between Lake Road and Croton Avenue between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. as crews require the use of a large crane, which will block the road and require its closure.

Closures on Croton Lake Road are expected to last through Friday, July 26.

Police said that residents living within the closure will be allowed to travel to and from their homes at all times. Other drivers have been advised to seek alternate routes.
