Brewster Fire Department Mourns Loss Of Beloved Chaplain
Richard J. Bailey, Sr., the longtime chaplain of the Brewster Fire Department, died Sunday, June 3, at home.
Bailey, 87, of Dover Plains, also worked for years as a tree surgeon at Coffin Tree Service in Tarrytown.
Born on February 18, 1931, in Danbury, he was the son of the late Myron A. and Blanche Bailey. He was married to Cynthia L. Ashby Bailey who predeceased him.

Memorial services have been announced for the father and adopted daughter from Dutchess County and the daughter's infant son who were killed on Thursday, April 12 in New Milford, Conn., and in North Carolina in a triple-murder suicide in a case linked to incest.
Anthony Charles Fusco, 56, of Wingdale was a beloved community member in Dover. Katie Rose Fusco Pladl, 20, was the adopted daughter of Anthony Fusco and Kelly Anne Fusco. Bennett Kieron Pladl, who was 7 months old, was the son of Katie Pladl.
