PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University’s baseball team took two of three games from Southern Connecticut State this weekend to win the Northeast-10 Conference Southwest Division. The Setters will be the No. 1 seed in the NE-10 Tournament in division play.

Pace finished the season at 29-18 overall, 19-10 in conference and 17-4 in the division. The Setters will host the first round of the conference playoffs Tuesday at Finnerty Field. The time and opponent have yet to be determined.

Michael Tamburino threw a three-hitter in Pace’s 1-0 victory against the Owls in game one of Saturday’s doubleheader but Southern Connecticut State took the nightcap, 3-2. In Sunday’s finale, Pace rallied with five runs in the eighth inning to claim a 6-3 victory.
