BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Briarcliff Middle and High School band students got the opportunity to work with Curt Ebersole -- a highly respected conductor, bandmaster and award-winning music educator --- during workshops he conducted recently.
High school band director Marc Tartell said that more than 125 students had the opportunity to learn from Ebersole, who worked with them on topics ranging from breathing, articulation, phrasing, balance and blend to sound production, intonation, musical interpretation and artistic communication.
“Ebersole’s engaging personality and thoughtful comments prepared and inspired our young musicians and improved their performance,” Tartell said. “In Briarcliff, we constantly strive to create a vibrant and inspiring performing arts learning experience for students of all ages.”
