“(The students) are volunteering once a month at the Ossining Children’s Center to read children’s stories in Spanish and French to the preschool children,” said teacher Johanna Foster. “They created these stories as a class project and will read them to the preschool children. The stories will be followed by an interactive activity or craft.”

After the trips, the students enjoy authentic Guatemalan cuisine at Karma Lounge Restaurant.

“We enjoyed our first field trip this month; it was an incredible experience for the students,” said Foster. “I was so proud of them.”
