BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Kindergarteners dressed like Pilgrims and Native Americans for a Thanksgiving feast Nov. 22 at Todd Elementary School.
The costumes worn were to signify the meeting and friendship between the two groups at the first Thanksgiving.
Parents organized the activity at which students learned about the first Thanksgiving and ate a traditional holiday meal of turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, cornbread and cranberries.
