Police received a complaint about the party at a home on Cartway Lane East in Bedford Village just before 11 p.m. Saturday, March 23. Responding officers discovered numerous youths under age 21, including an extremely intoxicated 17-year-old boy, Bedford Police said.

An ambulance from the Bedford Fire Department arrived to treat the teen, who refused medical attention and was released to a parent, police said.

Police say they discovered the parent of another 17-year-old who was hosting the party was present and was aware of the underage drinking.

The parent, identified by police as Meredith Abt, was issued an appearance ticket for violating Westchester County Social Host Law by allowing persons under to consume alcohol at her residence. She is due to appear in Bedford Justice Court on Monday, April 8 to answer the charge.
