OSSINING, N.Y Ossining Police arrested two Briarcliff Manor men Oct. 16 outside the Ossining CVS on South Highland Avenue after employees reported that several items had been taken from the store.
After being called to the scene, Village of Ossining Police said they discovered Briarcliff residents Gregory Dealto and Anthony Prinz across the street from the CVS in possession of some items that had been stolen from the store, along with oxycodone. A store employee told police that a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt had taken items from the store and got into a vehicle across the street.
Prinz was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, petit larceny and felony criminal possession of stolen property. Dealto was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Briarcliff Manor and Ossining Police also reported the following incidents:
Ossining Police Officers were called to the Town Court for a report of an unruly defendant on Oct. 16. Jervonie Gray, 24, was found to be extremely agitated and yelling over a pending charge before the court, according to police. He was taken into custody and was found to be in possession of marijuana, police said.
Briarcliff Manor Police were called to the Briarcliff Manor Public Library for a burglary alarm on Sunday. Police said a door was found unsecured but there were no items reported missing.
Ossining resident Pablo Calderon, 21, was charged with unlawfully dealing with a minor, a class A misdemeanor, on Oct. 17. Ossining Police said they were investigating an underage drinking incident on Spring Street where they learned a group of underage youths were drinking in the basement, according to a press release. Police discovered three youths and took them to police headquarters, where they were released to their parents.
