David Mackintosh, 84, Former Briarcliff Manor Resident

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – David Reid Mackintosh, a former Briarcliff Manor resident, died Nov. 6 at his home in Ossining. He was 84.

He was born Jan. 13, 1928, in New York City to James and Helen Stevens Mackintosh.

He married Natalie Holmes in Mount Vernon on May 8, 1954. While living in Briarcliff Manor, Mackintosh served as chairman of the Environmental Advisory Council in the 1970s, coached Little League and was active with the Boy Scouts of America.

Educated in Manhattan, Mackintosh graduated from Stuyvesant High School and New York University. He worked as an executive vice president for advertising and marketing research companies in New York City and Westchester.

Mackintosh is survived by his wife; three children, Barbara (Al Walters) Mackintosh, Bill (Trisha Nemtuda) Mackintosh and Virginia (Dan Ruben) Mackintosh; a daughter-in-law, Donna Mackintosh; and five grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the Tuscan Grille, 518 N. State Road in Briarcliff Manor.
