Friday, May 25
Get Your GED program: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tutors are available for free every Friday in the teen room. For more information, contact Robin Osborne at the Westchester Library System at 914-231-3237 or rosborne@wlsmail.org. Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.
Computer help: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free drop-in help with computers. Residents can learn how to navigate web pages and create documents in Microsoft programs. For more information, contact Cheryl at 941-2416, Ext. 315. Ossining Public Library.
Saturday, May 26
Ossining Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Ossining Farmers Market is set to open for its 21st season. Dozens of vendors from around the tri-state area are returning this year, and several new vendors are joining for the first time. The Farmers Market runs every Saturday through Dec. 15. At Spring Street and Main Street in Ossining.
Briarcliff Library Story Time: 11 a.m. to noon. Residents with children ages 2 to 6 are invited to Story Time. Registration is requested by calling the library at 914-941-7072. Briarcliff Manor Public Library.
Wine Tasting: Noon to 3 p.m. Tasty Port Wine & Spirits is hosting a wine tasting to celebrate Memorial Day at its 127 Main St. location in Ossining.
Photography Class: 1 to 3 p.m. Residents can learn photography techniques as a part of this weekly class. To register before the class, contact Director Jim Farrell at 914-941-2416, Ext. 333. Ossining Public Library.

John Cheever Birthday Special Display in Ossining: 1 to 5 p.m. A special celebration honoring author John Cheevers birthday. John Cheever was born May 27, 1912, in Quincy, Mass. There will be a special display for Cheever's birthday in the Cheever Reading Room on the 1st floor. All are welcome to view and enjoy the display during the day on May 27. Ossining Public Library.
Monday, May 28
Memorial Day Parade in Ossining: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Hundreds of veterans and local organizations are set to march in Ossinings Memorial Day Parade. The parade is scheduled to step off at 9:30 a.m. at Croton and Calem avenues and continue down Croton Avenue, Main Street, Washington Avenue and wrap up at Nelson Park for a special ceremony. The parade is organized through the American Legion Post 506.
Memorial Day Parade in Briarcliff Manor: Noon to 2 p.m. The Briarcliff American Legion Post 1054 is set to lead the annual parade through downtown Briarcliff Manor. Dozens of local groups also marching in the parade include the Braircliff Manor Fire Department, local Girl and Boy Scout troops, Little League baseball teams and other local school and village officials and organizations. The parade begins at noon down Pleasantville Road, down Larch Road, Oak Road and Ash Road before returning to Law Memorial Park for a ceremony.
Memorial Day Run/Walk in Briarcliff Manor: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Friends of the Briarcliff Manor Public Library are also set to host a 5K Run/2 Mile Walk. More than 150 residents from all over Westchester have registered. Online registration has closed but residents are invited to register Monday morning. Registration on event day is $30 for residents 13-and-up and $20 for 12-and-under. Law Park Pavilion.
The Ossining Public Library, the Briarcliff Manor Public Library, the Ossining Union Free School District and the Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District is closed for Memorial Day.
