BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. A costume contest, a pet parade and more are planned for a Harvest Festival on Sunday, sponsored by the Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce.
The festival will begin at 10 a.m. with opening ceremonies on North State Road by Blue Lantern Road in Briarcliff. At noon there will be a costume contest, followed by a pet parade. There will also be music, kids' rides, food, vendors and demos. The county police will sponsor a Safe Child booth, as well as install safety seats for attendees. The festival ends at 4 p.m.
"Last year marked the kick-off of this wonderful event and we hosted over 3,000 attendees. This year will be as exciting and even better!" said Gayle Marchica, president of the Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce.
The event is being coordinated by OJH Productions, an Ossining-based company, led by Omar Herrera, that offers lighting, sound, event planning, DJ services and decorations.
