Kerri Is Putnam Humane Society Pet Of The Week

CARMEL, N.Y. – When Kerri came to the Putnam Humane Society in Carmel, she was “a very frightened stray,” say shelter officials.

But now she’s a “wonderful, sweet girl” who loves to have her belly rubbed, they say.

The mixed-breed pooch was just named the shelter’s Pet of the Week.

With “love and training,” Kerri has gotten over a lot of her initial fear and now plays very happily with other dogs.

The pooch’s “outgoing personality is beginning to shine,” the shelter says.

To inquire about adopting Kerri, or other dogs and cats who need permanent homes, visit the shelter at 68 Old Route 6,  call (845) 245-7777 or visit its website by clicking here.

The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
