BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. - In case you weren't able to check in with The Briarcliff Daily Voice every day, here are a few of the top stories from this week.

  • Former Briarcliff Village Justice Fred Weinstein recalled his nearly 20 years on the bench. "It was very rewarding," said Weinstein, who was first appointed in 1995.
  • Briarcliff residents have seen the price at the gas pump drop slightly as the summer driving season approaches. GasBuddy listed the BP station at 155 S Highland Ave. in Ossining at $3.88 per gallon and the Shell at 160 South Highland Ave. at $3.89.
  • Briarcliff High School senior Elizabeth Kanovsky has been named the Class of 2013 valedictorian. She is undecided about what school to attend next year but  has already been accepted to University of Southern California and the University of Chicago.
