- Alison VanIngen Bankes of Briarcliff Manor, a teacher at The Todd School, died on April 20. She was 65.
- A walkway ceiling at the Student Center at Westchester Community College collapsed causing one a minor injury.
- I-684 South shut down all lanes between exit 7 and exit 5 for nearly two hours after a major multi-vehicle accident.
- As many as 30 dead cats found by Yonkers police in plastic bags hanging from tree branches in a wooded area off Overlook Terrace.
