KATONAH, N.Y. -- Several Harvey School varsity athletes earned recognition from their respective leagues in the winter sports season.

The Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) has recognized two of Harvey’s hockey players while the Housatonic Valley Athletic League (HVAL) honored three Cavaliers on both the boys and girls basketball squads.

The FAA has named Harvey’s goalie Mark Siegel of Mahopac as an all-league selection. Forward Robbie Van Raamsdonk of Florida, N.Y. was selected as an all-league honorable mention. Siegel played in 19 games, logging 822 playing minutes, and saving 522 for a .892 save percentage. Van Raamsdonk, a senior, led his team in goals with 27 goals. His 16 assists gave him 43 points for the season, second highest on the team. He finished his career at Harvey with 83 goals.

In boys basketball, junior guard Ricky Hicks of Yonkers was a first team HVAL all-league selection, helping his team to a 10-11 season and to an appearance in the league semifinals. Hicks was Harvey’s scoring leader with 224 points and a 10.7 ppg. He also led in assists with 71 and steals with 51.

Jake Cohn of Pound Ridge was named all-league honorable mention. The senior captain was second on his team in rebounds, assists and steals. He finished the season with a 6.9 ppg.

In girls basketball, the HVAL selected Hannah Paul of Larchmont for all-league. Playing in her second year on the varsity, the freshman started at forward and led her team in rebounding.

The league honorees were recognized at team dinners this week.
